This week Joel is out of town for work again (sigh). I am thankful he has work, though. And I'm very thankful that before he left he helped me get the room upstairs prepped and painted for the twins. I LOVE the color.
I'm thinking of painting this chair white and re-upholstering it in a fun print...what do you think? Should I leave it the way it is? I have a tendency to get in over my head with my "projects".
I'm ordering this fantastic fabric to make curtains for the room...
I can't wait to see what the finished product will look like!

Tomorrow is our first informational meeting for Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)! I can't tell you how excited I am to see this ministry grow and for us moms to grow with it! If you live in my area and are interested in getting involved and being strengthened and encouraged through the word of God and the friendship and mentorship of women seeking Him then please contact me! We especially need women who are older moms that can be mentors and respond to the call of God in Titus 2--to teach and train us younger women!

The room is so cute! I can't wait to see how it looks finished! Wow, eight weeks to go! So exciting! MOPS is wonderful! I've been a member for 6 years...and it's almost time for me to say goodbye ;( Emily will be in first grade next year, so I guess I don't have preschoolers anymore...unless another little comes along, but we'll see :)
Happy New Year!
EXCITING stuff!!! So happy for all of you! Love the bird fabric - so fun!

Ahh I love this post!!! Beautiful!!!
Looks like it will be a fun and cheerful room! Good luck with MOPS too!
WOW -- 8 weeks???? This has gone by FAST!! I love the color you chose for the twins room ... very bright and fresh! I love the little birdie fabric too. I totally think you should paint the chair white and reuphoslter it, but that's probably because I get into too many projects too!! :P
Love the fabric!!! I can't believe just eight weeks to go!
Good luck with MOPS! It sounds awesome.
My sweet Joye, 8 weeks WOW! I love your colors.Hope you have a great day! Blessings, Faye
Congratulations! My precious littlest one is three months old. My second pregnancy I definitely was not prepared as early as I was the first time. Children are such blessings. And your little girl is adorable!
wow! i'm soooo into nesting now too, although i've got way more than 8 weeks. i love what you've done so far, but I would just reupholster the chair in a modern fabric, and leave the vintage wood the way it is. just my humble opinion, of course...i'm sure you'll do a beautiful job whatever you decide.
love that first photo of your daughter in the crib. the color & angles are amazing!
happy nesting!
Only eight more weeks? Wow! The time has gone so fast. For me anyways! LOL
I love the fabric for those curtains. How cute! Hope you have a great nesting time these next couple of months. :)
Wow- I love that color! I am thinking of painting my living room a light blue-ish color as well. Do you remember the name?
I love the fabric you chose too. I like it when people think outside the "nursery" box. It's totally unique and fun.
Have fun with MOPS! I remember when my mom was involved at our church as I was growing up (eons ago it seems...). It seemed like such an encouraging group. I hope to join one someday when I have kids too!
What a beautiful "happy" room it will be.
Beautiful room. I think I would paint the chair, but only if you have the time and energy.
Blessings, andrea
I should really find a MOPS group too - I've heard so much about it. Have fun! I can hardly believe your little one is only EIGHT weeks away from arriving...where did the time go? When do we get to see a belly picture? ;)
Can't wait to see the completed room. I can't believe you are only 8 weeks away. It feels like it has gone by so quickly...of course I am not the one pregnant:)
Blessings,
Amy

Sounds like some serious nesting in setting in! I love the curtain fabric--so unique!
Congratulations! I love the color you picked - and the fabric...fabulous! Can't wait to see updates! Take it easy.
so i love that fabric! :-) and your girly's dress is so so cute!!!
Wow, only eight weeks to go, huh? He'll be here before you know it! I love the color of the twins' room and I also like your plan for the chair. I am terrible at DIY stuff and I just lack the creativity to do fun and unique things like that.
I hope things go well with your new MOPS group. Sounds like it will be a blessing to be a part of something like that!
Congrats on your first info. meeting for MOPS!! I am currently co-coordinator & Publicity coordinator and love it so much. It is such a ministry and you will do GREAT!!! God Bless!!
The nursery looks like it's going to be adorable! You are so creative!
Just wanted to stop by and thank you for sharing your heart in your comment on my peeling back the layers post. I, too, share in the struggle that you mentioned (especially with a teenager who knows full well how to push my buttons!). Thank you for your prayers...and please know that I am lifting you in prayer as well. What a gift we have as Christian sisters to be able to encourage one another...even in blogland! Thank you for your friendship and for always sharing your heart so beautifully. You, my dear, are such a blessing to me.
Be blessed and encouraged, today...
