Friday Photo Flashback...and my shrinking brain

Wow, it's Friday already?!
You know if it weren't for this little blog I really wouldn't have a clue what day of the week it was!  Or where my keys were, or my phone charger....oh wait, I still don't know where those are!

Really though, I learned an interesting fact the other day.  My very kind neighbor came over to reclaim some papers I had borrowed from her and the worst thing happened...I couldn't find the papers!  I was running around scratching my head and mumbling, "I just saw them right here, now where could they be...?"  I'm sure I made quite a scene.  Of course being the gracious person she is, she attempted to make me feel better by mentioning she recently heard that a pregnant woman's brain actually shrinks 8% during pregnancy!  I am not pregnant by the way, but just wait, it gets better!  This is what she goes on to say,  "You know, I wonder if that number doubles when you have twins."

Oh, my dear Lynelle.  I am sure it does.  Yes.  Quite sure.  (smiling from ear to ear)

And now it is...
Friday Photo Flashback
Time to link up to my friend Alicia @ More Than Words for some good old Friday Photo Flashback fun.

I know this picture is not very old  (it was taken about a year and a half ago), but it is just so precious.  And I promise I didn't cheat--I still had to scan it!  My lovely neighbor (yes, the same one) gave it to me the other day.  It's a picture of her daughter and my Lil Man.  They are absolutely the best of friends.  Lil Man must have been two at the time...

It is just. adorable...

I´ll agree with you and your neighbour today. For one, I also wouldn´t know many days what day it was if it wasn´t for my blog.

And two, I do believe the more children we have the less my brain works.... not sure the reason, but.... I can tell

  11. awww - how cute!! Thanks so much for returning to my blog to read more. I am loving your blog too! I read a little more and found we have something in common... I, too, have lost a son through miscarriage. Twice, actually. The only children we have (Asher and Cyrus) are in heaven. Thanks for sharing about your baby boy -- it's comforting to know they're all in heaven together!

    Happy Friday ~ Lauren

  12. How precious!

My bonus daughter experienced pregnancy brain. I guess her brain has shrunk 16% since she had 2 babies. I can't wait to tell her that LOL!

  13. That's awesome!! Not that you lost the papers- but that I'm not the only one to do things like that. It always happens with my husband's things though...when I'm cleaning or organizing I end up stashing papers and things in a different spot, then can't remember where I put them. :)

  21. What an adorable picture!

LOL! Is your neighbor the one who forgot that you already had your twins? hee hee! I've completely lost my mind, that's for sure! Someone asked me the other day if I had a bottle opener...and I didn't even know..."I think I remember seeing one somewhere!" She just looked at me and said, "You don't know if you have one?" ha ha! I did find it! LOVE being a mom, scatter brained and all! :)

  22. Oh wait, I think I read your post wrong...she was saying that because you did already have your twins and that your brain has alrady shrunk, right? Not that she thought you were pregnant with twins right now! See...I told you I've lost my mind! Sorry! :)

  24. Gasp.... the term "Mommy Brain" is written in my family's invisible dictionary and I had no idea it was actually true!! Wow.. so what's 8% of a brain that's no larger than a pea? I'm scared.. where am I? Er, what's my name?

*walks out slowly... bumps into a door*
