I love all things spring--pretty pastels, bright green grass, and the fresh scent of new flowers. How fitting that Easter is celebrated around this time of year when everything is being resurrected and life bursts into bloom-- draping a drab world in the colors of the rainbow.
Hope sails in on a gentle spring breeze, reminding us that Jesus makes all things new.
We hid easter eggs today. And after hiding them twice with candy I finally wised up and filled them with grapes instead.
Last week, we dyed easter eggs. And we managed to eat almost all of them before mommy could even snap a picture.
Here are the few, the proud, the remaining easter eggs.
They lasted about a minute.
Thad said he loves to eat baby chickens.
i love what you said about spring, resurrection and Jesus making all things new!!! the eggs are adorable. you are super smart for filling the eggs with grapes. i have to remember that for when my kids hit the easter egg hunting days.

ReplyDeleteMy only child is 19 now, and we haven't colored eggs in a long time. In fact, he's now away at college. But I'm thinking I may color eggs myself this weekend! :)

Grapes in the eggs? Now that is one smart and experienced mama! I have missed you - life has been crazy (a good crazy) so I have not visited in a while. Legend is a beauty and you look amazing. You are so very blessed.
ReplyDeleteI haven't dyed eggs since I was a kid! Your photos brought back many memories. Time to get my little guy's hands decorating eggs this year. A blessed Resurrection celebration to you and your loved ones!
ReplyDeleteSweet.
ReplyDeleteI love the grapes idea. :)
You are so smart to do them ahead of time. We are doing them Friday. I hope you are having fun with that sweet baby boy and enjoying preparing for Sunday.

I love that you used grapes! One of my friends never introduced the whole candy in the egg thing. She used baby carrots and raisins and other little things like that. hey, what they don't know can't hurt them, right?
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up on reading your posts today, and I am smiling. My heart is full. Thank you for sharing your life with us. You - your family, your life - a blessing. True and real.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
I'm going to make eggs today.
