Trees are the trend in nurseries these days. And I couldn't help but succumb to their whimsy. Not to mention that I already had a half gallon of white paint sitting on my laundry room shelf. That and my stash of scrapbook paper-- which just may be the best few bucks I've ever spent-- made this room's decor an easy choice. I'm loving everything about this room--especially the price: absolutely free. I used items I already had around the house (and even a twig from the backyard). Oh, and just in case you're a little confused about why I'm posting yet another nursery room, this one is for our womb baby who will be making his grand appearance in a little over three weeks. The other nursery I decorated was for our almost two year old twins. We moved them out of this room a few weeks ago.
If you look closely, you just might find the name we decided on for our little man (and an open socket/electrical hazard--but we'll pretend that's not there)

I love this room...so adorable! You did a GREAT job!
Oh, it will be wonderful to sit in that chair and snuggle a new baby. To have him wrap his hands around your fingers, to breath that sweet purfumed baby breath on you. To live in those monents with another gift that God has trusted to your open arms, you are blessed. I love this room, it makes me smile. You attention to detail in life is amazing, you find true beauty and pass it on to us, in the form of decor and written word. I count it a blessing to have found you.

it is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joye,
I have really enjoyed looking at photos of both of the nurseries! You really have a gift for decorating. (And you've come along way since the purple and green sponge paint in high school!)
I never think of myself as a decorator, but I've been trying to train myself in creating an appealing home. Just a couple of days ago I hung a thrifted vintage Candyland board on the wall of my daughter's room. The colors work and it's just cute - like your games too!
Blessings on you and Joel as the big day approaches.
Amy
I've a;ways wanted a tree decal on my wall, but the vinyl was too expensive. I never thought of paint and scrap paper! you are so creative :)

How absolutely adorable! Everything!!!!
I'm so glad you left me a comment so I could find your fabulous blog! Woweeeee! So many cute projects. The nursery is so so cute.
Wow, it looks so bright and happy! Although i love it all, my favorite part i think is the way you hung his name on the branch! What a great idea! Embroidery hoops make such perfect frames dont they! they are so cheap! I mean cheep cheep!! Congratulations! 3 weeks away. Newborns are so tiny and sweet!
Abbey
I really love the tree. I would love to decorate with one of those on the wall. That's awesome it was all free!
Ok.. now I need to have a baby just so I can steal this nursery idea. I just LOVE it!
Thank you for sharing... I can't wait to 'meet' your newest bundle.

well. i believe you did it again!
What a stunning room! I have three boys and our nursery is distinctly BOY, but I could see this room going either way. It's beautiful in every way ... I love the natural elements and I, too, am a big fan of the tree trend that's been so prevalent lately!
This has to be one of THE most creative nurseries I have ever seen. Love it! I especially love the way you hung the name. Cute!
LOVE it! I may just have to steal your tree/bird geniousness. =)
Completely in love! I heart all things baby!
Darling! The tree is whimsical indeed. You did a wonderful job pulling this all together. Certainly a room your baby will love too.

This is so cute! I'm currently in the process of decorating a nursery for our new little guy who will be here in a little over a month, if he doesn't come sooner. I too am using scrapbook paper to help decorate. I had thought about doing a tree also on one wall and now this is bringing me back to that idea. I'm sure he will love it! So cozy and warm looking!
Congratulations!
~Megan
I would like to come over. And hang out at your house. Because it it just too much. Too many adorable details. I just want to come over and take it all in.
Awesome womb baby's room. Awesome twins room. So neat.
One question. Okay two: Did you freehand the tree? How did you attach the adorable scrapbook paper birds? way to go!!
Your tree is amazing! So inspiring to this artist...think it's time to go paint!
Perfect little details...I love them! That tree is amazing, my daughter saw it and has asked me many times if I can paint one for her. Love the embroidery hoops! You truly have a gift for beauty.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this nursery!! GOOD job! Super cute!!!
Adorable!!!! It's so fresh, creative, and fun!!!
Oh, that chair! I love it!
Oh. My. Word. This room is so great there aren't words for it! Do you need a nanny? I'd do it just to live in this room!
hi there! I am new to your blog, and I just saw your beautiful nursery-wow!!! I am currently pregnant with my first, and I would love to do something similar? Can I ask how you got the paper to stick to the walls? And were the birds from some kind of template? I am new to this whole thing, but the price is right, and the results are amazing! Thank you for posting your creativity, and resourcefulness!
Wendy
Wendy--thanks for visiting! And congrats on your first! I used spray adhesive to attach the scrap paper to the walls and it's worked really well. I did hear that you could try starch and water as a more natural alternative. The birds and leaves I drew free hand.
Have fun decorating your little one's nursery!
I love this nursery! I love the name Legend! I LOVE YOUR BLOG!
wow this is very nice for me ...I will share your blog with my friends .Thanks for sharing and keep it up.
